In the early evening of May 26, 2022, a sense of unease settled over a stretch of Dixie Highway in southwestern Jefferson County. First responders rushed to the 14500 block of the busy thoroughfare around 7 p.m. following reports of a shooting. There, they discovered 30-year-old Julius D.
