On the night of September 25, 2015, Mark Antonio Profit, an 18-year-old Black / African American male, was fatally shot in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The incident occurred at approximately 10:39 p.m. in the Willard-Hay neighborhood of North Minneapolis. Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Newton Avenue North after a ShotSpotter activation alerted them to gunfire in the area.
