On November 8, 2020, Yahye Ahmed Mohamed, an 18-year-old from Minneapolis, MN, was tragically killed in an attempted robbery. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. near the intersection of Fremont Avenue South and Lagoon Avenue South in the Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis. Mohamed was in a car with another individual when a man entered the backseat and attempted to rob them. During the robbery, a shot was fired, striking Mohamed in the chest.
