On November 23, 2024, at approximately 4:45 a.m., 28-year-old Ivan J. Bercier was fatally shot near East Phillips Park in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Officers responding to reports of gunshots discovered Bercier with gunshot wounds. He was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The incident occurred in a neighborhood adjacent to a park and a church.
