Derrick Gregory Martin, a 20-year-old from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, was shot and killed on May 24, 2010, while walking along a busy path near Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis. His murder, which remains unsolved, is believed to be gang-related, stemming from a violent feud between rival gangs in the city. Authorities quickly identified Martin as a member of the Taliban gang, which had a long-standing rivalry with the 19 Block Dipset gang and its affiliates.
