In the early morning hours of February 7, 2025, the life of 23-year-old Jalen Mathis Easton, a Black male from Brooklyn Park, was tragically cut short in a Minneapolis residence. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner later confirmed that Easton died from multiple gunshot wounds in what was ruled a homicide. The fatal incident unfolded just before 2 a.m. inside a home on the 2500 block of 26th Avenue North.
