In the late hours of a summer night in Minneapolis, on July 25, 2015, the life of 24-year-old Abdirahman Ahmed Jined of St. Paul was tragically cut short. The incident unfolded just after 10:20 p.m. near the intersection of Franklin and Chicago avenues, a typically busy area in the southern part of the city.
