In the spring of 2017, a domestic dispute escalated into a fatal act of violence in a north Minneapolis strip mall parking lot, claiming the life of 26-year-old Iesha Lanell Wiley, a Black/African American female. On the afternoon of May 12th, Wiley was with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Marvel Williams, in a business near Lyndale and Broadway avenues.
