In the early morning hours of August 5, 2017, the life of 25-year-old Shane Lamont Webb, a Black male, was cut short in a burst of gunfire in a Minneapolis, Minnesota parking lot. The incident, which occurred just before 3 a.m. on the 1100 block of Broadway Avenue West, left Webb dead at the scene from a gunshot wound to the head. Another woman was also injured in the shooting, suffering a gunshot wound to the arm, but was expected to survive.
