On January 7, 2018, DeSean Daggs, a 23-year-old man from Minneapolis, MN, was tragically shot and killed in the Dinkytown neighborhood. The incident occurred around 2:13 a.m. on the 500 block of 12th Avenue Southeast. When police arrived at the scene, they found Daggs lying on the sidewalk with a fatal gunshot wound to his chest.
