On a Friday afternoon in the city of Richfield, Minnesota, a young life was abruptly cut short. Raekwon Rashaad Martin, a 25-year-old Black male, was in a parking lot along East 77th Street on January 8, 2021, when tragedy struck. At approximately 2:00 PM, the sound of gunfire shattered the winter quiet. When Richfield Police officers arrived at the scene, they found Martin suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
