On a late Monday morning in Minneapolis, a quarrel escalated into gunfire, leading to the death of 46-year-old Adam John Peterson. The incident, which occurred on September 15, 2025, near East Lake Street and Stevens Avenue South, was one of two mass shootings to take place in the city within a 12-hour period. Peterson was one of five men struck by bullets in the morning attack near the Interstate 35W off-ramp and the Midtown Greenway transit bus tower station.
