A visit between childhood friends on a Saturday afternoon in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, took a tragic turn, ending a life and shattering a long-standing bond. On January 9, 2021, 58-year-old Bobby Evans, a Black/African American male, was at the home of his longtime friend, Glenn Douglas Smith.
