On a late summer evening in 2021, Jalyn Tremaine Bass, a 20-year-old Black/African American male from Fridley, Minnesota, lost his life just ten days before he would have celebrated his 21st birthday. The fatal incident unfolded on August 18th in Mounds View, a suburb north of Saint Paul. That night, police were called to the 2500 block of County Road I after receiving reports of multiple gunshots.
