Marcus Deani Sanders, a 31-year-old man from Chicago, Illinois, was tragically killed on June 27, 2022, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The incident occurred in the Whittier neighborhood, specifically near 26th Street East and Stevens Avenue South. According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office, Sanders sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
