On an autumn day in Wichita, Kansas, the life of 21-year-old Omar Garcia, a Hispanic male, was tragically cut short. On October 22, 2015, Garcia was inside a vehicle near 53rd Street North and Meridian when gunfire erupted. The shooting claimed his life at the scene and also resulted in the death of another man, 21-year-old Ernesto Aguilar-Retana, who succumbed to his injuries a few days later.
