In the early morning hours of April 24, 2022, a night of socializing in Wichita, Kansas, turned tragic for Nyron Bowen, a 31-year-old Black/African American man. At approximately 1:20 a.m., police were dispatched to the 1300 block of North Hydraulic following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Bowen lying on the ground just south of a nightclub he had just exited, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
