On October 28, 2015, 26-year-old Diana Micale Washington was fatally shot by her estranged husband, 29-year-old Pierre Ross Washington, in a van at OJ Watson Park in Wichita, Kansas. Prior to the incident, Pierre had expressed to a relative his thoughts of harming Diana and her new boyfriend.
