A 20 year old woman is found dead in her Wichita, KS apartment
On October 2, 1989, 20-year-old Krista Martin was found brutally murdered in her apartment in Wichita, Kansas. She had been struck in the back of the head with a blunt object, and her body was discovered by a concerned friend who went to check on her after not hearing from her. Investigators found no signs of forced entry or burglary, and initial leads in the case quickly dried up, leaving the investigation at a standstill for years.
