In the cold of a Wichita, Kansas winter, the life of 25-year-old Heather Suzanne Francis Muller, a White female, was tragically cut short in a series of events that would become known as the "Wichita Massacre." On the night of December 14, 2000, Heather was with four friends, Jason Befort, Brad Heyka, Aaron Sander, and another young woman, at a home on Birchwood Drive. Their evening was violently interrupted when two brothers, Reginald and Jonathan Carr, forced their way into the residence.
