On February 24, 2024, 35-year-old Natisha "Tink" Phillips of Wichita, Kansas, was tragically killed in a shooting at an east Wichita motel. Officers responding to the scene found Phillips deceased from gunshot wounds. Another victim, 35-year-old Christopher Harrell, was transported to a hospital where he later died. A young child present at the scene was unharmed and placed in protective custody.
