Tina Marie Finley, 25, disappeared on March 7, 1988, from the Coeur d'Alene Indian Reservation in Benewah County, Idaho. That evening, she was seen at several locations, including a Plummer bar and later a birthday party in Tensed, Idaho. After leaving the party, she went to the Circle H Saloon, where a man reportedly gave her a ride home, dropping her off a quarter of a mile from her residence. Despite this, Tina never made it home and has not been seen since.
Her disappearance raised suspicions early on, especially after her purse, shoes, and identification card were found along U.S. Highway 95, which runs through the reservation. Further investigation uncovered some of her personal belongings in an abandoned house and car in DeSmet, Idaho, and her jacket in a residence in Plummer. These findings, along with the discovery of a potential grave site in 1992, suggest that foul play may have been involved. Authorities believe Tina may have been abducted and killed near Tensed, though her body has never been found.
Tina had endured a difficult upbringing, spending time in foster care and running away to California as a teenager before returning to live with her uncle. At the time of her disappearance, she was employed and considering furthering her education at North Idaho College.
