A young Hispanic/Latino man, Jacob Edward Ruis, was 23 years old when his life was cut short in Overland Park, Kansas. The male victim was inside an apartment on Reeder Street late on Friday, November 20, 2015, when he sustained a fatal gunshot wound.

According to the Overland Park Police Department, the person who shot Ruis was an acquaintance. Despite this, investigators did not suspect foul play, and the incident was treated as an accidental shooting. Detectives continued to investigat ...
