On the morning of October 28, 2019, David Flick, a 59-year-old Caucasian male, was fatally shot in the parking lot of his Overland Park, Kansas, business, Terra Technologies. He had just dropped his two young sons off at school and arrived at the Deer Creek Office Center where his environmental consulting firm was located. Officers responded to the scene around 8:15 a.m. and found Flick deceased beside his pickup truck.
