In the early hours of a Monday morning, on January 11, 2016, the life of 33-year-old Irvan W. Cole, a Black male from Kansas City, Kansas, was tragically cut short. He was discovered shot to death just before 2 a.m. in the 4000 block of Fisher Street. At the time of the incident, police urged anyone with information to come forward and contact the TIPS Hotline.
Irvan, who was born on January 14, 1982, was just a few days shy of his 34th birthday.
He was remembered for his beautiful smile and comedic ways. A graduate of F.L. Schlagle High School's class of 2000, he was known as a good-hearted man who had a deep love for his family and friends. He was also a man of faith, having confessed his belief in Christ at an early age. His interests included various types of music and he was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Despite the public call for information, there have been no subsequent reports or publicly available information regarding any arrests or the identification of any suspects in connection with the shooting death of Irvan W. Cole. The case, it appears, remains unresolved, leaving a void in the lives of his family and friends who continue to cherish his memory.
