In the pre-dawn hours of Thanksgiving Day in 2016, a tragic event unfolded in a Wichita, Kansas, parking lot that would cut short the life of 15-year-old Jimmy Shopteese. The male teenager was with a 13-year-old companion at the Lost Sock II Laundromat on East Pawnee at approximately 1:45 a.m. on November 24th. What was supposed to be a meeting with people they knew took a fatal turn, according to police, when it devolved into a botched marijuana deal.
