In the early morning hours of September 26, 2020, a fatal encounter unfolded in Topeka, Kansas, leaving 35-year-old Matthew Pressler, a White/Caucasian male, dead from gunshot wounds. The incident occurred at approximately 2:50 a.m. in the 300 block of Southwest Roosevelt Street, where Topeka police officers were dispatched following reports of gunfire.
