On the evening of December 29, 2020, in a residential area just outside of Wichita, Kansas, the life of 22-year-old Kayla Gwen Schmidt, a Caucasian female, was tragically cut short. Responding to a shooting at a home in the 3900 block of West Fairhaven around 8:15 p.m., authorities discovered a grim scene.
