Linda Ann Thomason Walenta, a 55-year-old cellist for the Wichita Symphony Orchestra, was fatally shot on December 11, 2000, in Wichita, Kansas. On the night of the incident, Walenta was returning home from orchestra practice when she was followed by two suspects, later identified as the Carr brothers, Jonathan and Reginald Carr.
