On a cold December evening in Wichita, Kansas, the life of 55-year-old Linda Ann Thomason Walenta was irrevocably altered in a moment of senseless violence. On December 11, 2000, the Caucasian female cellist with the Wichita Symphony was returning to her home on Dublin Court after an orchestra practice.
