In the early evening of April 15, 2021, a tragedy unfolded in Topeka, Kansas, that cut short the life of 16-year-old Emuel Iziah Torres. The young man, identified in most reports as Emmanuel Iziah Ulysses Torres, was fatally shot near the intersection of S.E. 6th Avenue and Chandler Street.
