In the early hours of a Monday morning in Phoenix, Arizona, the life of 34-year-old Brent A. Stasilli was tragically cut short. On June 17, 2013, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Stasilli was riding his bicycle near 71st Avenue and Earll Drive when an encounter turned fatal. He was accompanied by a 41-year-old woman, and their paths crossed with two individuals in a blue, four-door Chevrolet Impala, possibly a 2007 model with dark tinted windows.
The initial contact appears to have been made
outside a Circle K store located at 75th Avenue and Thomas Road. Following this, the suspects drove to Stasilli's home in the 7100 block of West Earll Drive. An argument broke out between Stasilli and the occupants of the car. As the confrontation escalated, Stasilli attempted to flee towards his house, but the male suspect exited the vehicle and opened fire. Both Stasilli and his female companion were shot.
Emergency services were called to the scene, and both victims were transported to a local hospital. Brent Stasilli succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The woman he was with was also hospitalized but was expected to survive her wounds.
Phoenix police launched a homicide investigation and sought public assistance in identifying the suspects. The male shooter was described as a White or Hispanic man in his late 20s to mid-30s, standing between 5'10' and 6' tall, with a heavy build of around 250 pounds. He had tattoos covering both of his arms, described as 'sleeved,' and was reportedly wearing green scrubs and a do-rag. The female suspect was also described as White or Hispanic, in her late 20s to mid-30s, between 5'6' and 5'8' tall, and weighing 130-140 pounds. She had long hair styled in a ponytail and was wearing glasses and purple scrubs. To date, the suspects remain at large, and a reward has been offered for information leading to their arrest.
