In the early morning hours of March 19, 2022, a sense of unease settled over a neighborhood in Pittsburg, Kansas. The quiet of the night was shattered by the sound of a gunshot, a sound that would forever alter the lives of those involved. Inside a residence at 111 W. Park Street, a dispute had taken a fatal turn, leaving 64-year-old Harold L. Sheets, a White / Caucasian male, with a mortal wound.
Law enforcement officers from the Pittsburg Police Department, along with emergency medical personnel, were dispatched to the scene at approximately 12:45 a.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr. Sheets suffering from a gunshot wound.
