On a summer evening in Kansas City, Kansas, the life of Bruce DWayne Nelson Jr., a 25-year-old Black or African American male, was tragically cut short. On August 14, 2022, officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Ray Avenue around 10 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Nelson outside a residence, suffering from gunshot wounds.
