In the late hours of a Monday night in Washington, D.C., the life of Ronnell Daniels, a 40-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short. On May 19, 2014, at approximately 11:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting in the unit block of 55th Street, Southeast. There, they found Daniels suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
