In the summer of 2020, on the evening of June 19th, the life of 28-year-old Alante Moore, a Black male from Southwest, Washington, D.C., was tragically cut short. At approximately 8:12 PM, gunshots rang out in the 1500 block of 19th Street, Southeast, in the Fairlawn neighborhood. When officers from the Sixth District arrived at the scene, they discovered Moore suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
