In the late spring of 2014, a violent encounter on a Friday evening tragically cut short the life of Donta Thrower, a 32-year-old male from Northwest, D.C. On May 30, at approximately 9:24 p.m., in the 1200 block of North Capitol Street, Northwest, gunfire erupted, and Thrower was fatally shot.
