In the late spring of 2014, a violent encounter on a Friday evening tragically cut short the life of Donta Thrower, a 32-year-old male from Northwest, D.C. On May 30, at approximately 9:24 p.m., in the 1200 block of North Capitol Street, Northwest, gunfire erupted, and Thrower was fatally shot. The Metropolitan Police Department promptly began an investigation into the homicide, seeking assistance from the public to gather information about the incident that had taken a man's life.
