A 42-year-old man named Bobby Plummer died after a shooting in Washington, D.C. The incident occurred on the evening of Monday, October 5, 2020, at approximately 8:30 p.m. in the 400 block of Orange Street, SE. When officers arrived at the scene, they found four individuals who had been shot. Plummer was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Two days later, on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, Bobby Plummer succumbed to his injuries at Washington Hospital Center.
The shooting also resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to another man and two women. Originally from Olney, Maryland, Plummer was a father and was known to many by the nickname “Slick.”
The Metropolitan Police Department is actively investigating the homicide and has offered a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. To date, there have been no public announcements regarding any arrests or the identification of any suspects in connection with the shooting. The case remains an open investigation.
