In the late hours of a Friday night in Washington, D.C., violence tragically cut short the life of Dondre Kennen Dyer. On that evening, the 23-year-old male was in the 3600 block of Warder Street, NW, when gunfire erupted. The Metropolitan Police Department reported that the shooting occurred at approximately 10:52 p.m.
Responding to the incident, authorities discovered Dyer at the intersection of Warder Street and Quebec Place, NW, suffering from several gunshot wounds.
He was quickly transported to a local hospital in an effort to save his life. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Dondre Kennen Dyer succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, the Metropolitan Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide. They appealed to the public for any information that might lead to the apprehension of those responsible for Dyer's death. A reward of up to $25,000 was offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in the homicide.
