Kevin Cortez Johnson, a 23-year-old resident of Southeast Washington, D.C., was found suffering from gunshot wounds just before midnight on June 26, 2015. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene and discovered Johnson unresponsive. Despite the efforts of emergency medical services, Johnson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
