In the summer of 2015, a heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in a Washington, D.C. apartment, forever altering the lives of a local family. Three-year-old Dalis Cox, a young female, lost her life on July 29, 2015, in what authorities would later describe as a devastating accident. The incident took place in a second-floor apartment in the 600 block of 46th Place SE in the Benning Terrace neighborhood.
