In the early morning hours of September 19, 2015, the life of 22-year-old Deontray Ingram, a Black male from Southeast Washington, D.C., was tragically cut short. Just after 4 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2400 block of Elvans Road SE. Upon arrival, they discovered Ingram suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
