On a November evening in 2018, the life of 26-year-old Dewayne Weaver was tragically cut short in his native Washington, D.C. A male resident of Southeast Washington, he was in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood when violence erupted. Shortly before 7 p.m. on Monday, November 5th, gunshots rang out in a courtyard of a housing complex on the 300 block of 50th Street NE. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Weaver lying on the ground, having suffered from multiple gunshot wounds.
