In the winter of 2010, a senseless act of violence cut short the life of 30-year-old James Ray Junior Pone in Washington, D.C. On the evening of Tuesday, December 21st, at approximately 9:00 pm, Pone was discovered in the 700 block of Brandywine Street, SE, suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency services transported him to a local hospital, but his injury proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
