On a cool spring evening in Washington, D.C., the sound of gunshots shattered the night in the 4600 block of Hillside Road, Southeast. It was approximately 10:01 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2019, when officers from the Sixth District responded to the scene. Upon their arrival, they discovered a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
