Death by Force

On July 20, 2019, Delwaun Lyons, a 23-year-old resident of Southeast Washington, DC, was fatally shot in the 3000 block of 30th Street, Southeast. The incident occurred at approximately 3:47 am, when members of the Seventh District responded to a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Lyons unconscious, unresponsive, and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Lyons was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
