On September 22, 2019, at approximately 12:58 AM, Rashid Ferguson, a 21-year-old resident of Washington, DC, was found unconscious and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 200 block of 51st Street, NE. Despite efforts to save him, Ferguson was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) immediately launched an investigation into the homicide, seeking the public's assistance in gathering information.
