On a late winter evening in Washington, D.C., the life of 24-year-old Markiese Johnson was tragically cut short. On Monday, March 9, 2020, at approximately 8:48 p.m., the sound of gunfire echoed in the 2200 block of Savannah Terrace, Southeast. When officers from the Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene, they found Mr. Johnson suffering from gunshot wounds.
