On July 7, 2020, Marquise Lewis, aged 29, was found dead in the 5000 block of Bass Place, Southeast Washington, DC. The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. when officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered three victims with gunshot wounds. Marquise Lewis and Claudette Williams, aged 56, were found unconscious inside a vehicle, while Juwan Wade, aged 20, was found nearby.
