On a summer day in August of 1979, 39-year-old Thomas George Feller and his son, Christopher, set out on a fishing trip in the serene waters of China Poot Bay, near Homer, Alaska. The father and son were enjoying what should have been a memorable outing when the unexpected occurred. They became overdue, and concern for their well-being grew with each passing hour.
