In the summer of 2024, a bright life was tragically cut short on the streets of West Baltimore. Brian Nicholas Batty, a 31-year-old Black male, was fatally wounded in a shooting on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 6th. The incident occurred in the 1700 block of North Cary Street, a residential area that became the backdrop for a senseless act of violence. First responders were dispatched to the scene at approximately 3:29 p.m. following reports of a shooting.
